Sam describes himself as an adventure-loving Canadian who enjoys hiking and snowboarding, is an avid traveller, and is into French and Latin cultures - especially Latin dancing. He is passionate about sport and fitness. He is passionate about learning and lives by the motto "sometimes you win, sometimes you learn".
Sam’s medical interests involve skin cancer diagnoses and management. He is currently pursuing an advanced diploma from the Skin Cancer College. He also has interests in trigger point injections and perineural therapy for musculoskeletal pain; Sam is learning about regenerative injections for these chronic pains and looks forward to offering such therapies to his patients in future. He also has an interest in antenatal care and women’s health.
Sam obtained his Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Sydney in 2014 and completed his RACGP general practice fellowship in 2019. Sam also holds the following additional qualifications:
- Fellowship with the RACGP in rural general practice
- Advanced diploma from the RANZCOG college in obstetrics and women’s health
- Certificate in paediatrics from the Sydney Child Health Program
- Multiple certificates from the Australian Skin Cancer College
