Dr Julia Humphreys
BA (Hons), MBChB, MRCGP (2012), DFSRH, PG Cert (HE), SFHEA, MA
Dr Julia graduated with an MBChB medical degree from the University of Leicester in 2007 and became a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (UK) in 2012.
She enjoys the variety that general practice brings and welcomes all patient presentations, including chronic disease management. Dr Julia spent 10 years working as a GP in an Accident and Emergency Department, alongside her role as a Senior Clinical Lecturer at The University of Manchester Medical School.
Dr Julia has a special interest in sexual health and women’s health. She holds the Diploma of Reproductive and Sexual Health (UK) and is fully accredited in the insertion and removal of contraceptive implants and intrauterine devices (IUDs), including contraception, fertility and menopause.
She also consults in dermatology and skin lesion removal. She has completed the Skin Cancer College of Australasia Certificate of Dermoscopy for the detection and management of common skin conditions and skin cancers, and is also trained in administering botulinum toxin (Botox) injections for the treatment of hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating).
In addition, Dr Julia has completed RACGP training in ADHD diagnosis and management and provides consultations for both adults and children.
Outside of medicine, Julia enjoys running and yoga, as well as hiking, art, and music.
