Dr Julia Humphreys

BA (Hons), MBChB, MRCGP (2012), DFSRH, PG Cert (HE), SFHEA, MA

Dr Julia graduated with an MBChB medical degree from the University of Leicester in 2007 and became a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (UK) in 2012.

Dr Julia enjoys the variety that general practice brings, and welcomes all patient presentations, including chronic disease management. She spent 10 years working as a GP in an Accident and Emergency Department, alongside her role as a Senior Clinical Lecturer at The University of Manchester Medical School.

Dr Julia has a special interest in sexual health and women's health, and holds certifications in skin lesion removal and Dermatology. She also holds a Diploma of Reproductive and Sexual Health (UK) and is fully accredited in the insertion and removal of contraceptive implants and intrauterine devices (IUD's), including emergency contraception.

Dr Humphreys is also trained in administering Botulinum toxin (Botox) injections for the treatment of hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating).

Outside of medicine, Julia is keen on running and yoga, enjoys dog walks, loves hiking, art and music.
