Our Practice:


Burpengary Station Medical Centre opened officially in late 2013. At Burpengary Station Medical Centre you will feel very welcomed and find our team friendly and helpful. We wish to provide our patients and local community with quality, comprehensive and timely care. 

Burpengary Station Medical Centre is conveniently located opposite Burpengary Train Station. We also have free parking available for our patients.


Burpengary Station Medical Centre is a Bulk Billing practice so there is no out of pocket expense to those with a valid Medicare card.


We believe that having your own personal Doctor is important to your health and where possible try to maintain this important interaction.

Here at Burpengary Station Medical Centre, our team is committed to ensuring that you receive the best care possible, which is why all of our staff members are highly experienced in the medical environment.

Our highly experienced nurses work at the direction of the Doctors at the Centre and will assist in providing comprehensive coordinated healthcare services.

Pharmacy

There is a Priceline Pharmacy which is conveniently located next door, it is open 7 days per week.

Pathology
Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology has a collection centre within our premises.

Most of our standard appointments last for 10 minutes, if you think you need more time with one of our doctors please advise reception staff of this. You can learn more about what qualifies as a long appointment by clicking here. 
Where possible, we will always try to ensure that we can find a suitable appointment time with your preferred doctor. Please be aware that emergencies will be given priority, if this situation should occur when you are scheduled to attend the practice, our staff will ensure every effort is made to contact you.

Cancelations: 



Due to a high demand of appointments at Burpengary Station Medical Centre, we do ask that if for any reason you are unable to attend your scheduled consultation that you notify us as soon as possible to allow others the opportunity for an appointment.

Information you supply:



On arrival to Burpengary Station Medical Centre, we will ask that you complete a registration form prior to your consultation. To ensure optimal patient care, we request that you inform us of your cultural background. In addition, any changes to your personal information on subsequent visits to us, such as change of contact or Medicare details, address or emergency contact please bring this to the attention of our reception staff.

Results:



When this surgery receives significant abnormal test results, our staff will contact you to arrange a follow up appointment. Patients are encouraged to contact the surgery for results of all investigations. Your enquiry will lead to a reassurance that results were as expected, or of a course of action that the doctor has indicated. Results cannot be given over the phone and we advise that a follow up consultation for results is scheduled with your Doctor.
Repeat Prescriptions:

You will need to see your General Practitioner in order to get a repeat prescription, if the consultation is brief, it may be charged at a reduced rate. This service is at the discretion of the treating doctor. Referrals to specialists cannot be written without a consultation.

Your rights:



If you have a problem, we would like to hear about it. Please feel free to talk to your doctor or receptionist. You may prefer to write to us or use our suggestion box. We take your compliments, concerns, suggestions and complaints seriously. However, if you wish to take the matter further and feel that you need to discuss the matter outside of the surgery, please phone the Office of the Health Ombudsman on 133 464 or go to their website to find out more.
